将衍射结构视为折射率无限大的薄透镜,研究了衍射透镜高折射率表示的折衍混合复消色差望远物镜设计的PWC方法;设计了焦距为2000mm、相对孔径为1/15的双片型折衍混合复消色差望远物镜,并与常规三片型纯折射复消色差望远物镜进行了比较,结果表明双片型折衍混合复消色差望远物镜具有更好的二级光谱校正能力,色球差更小,因此具有更好的成像质量.

基于空间频谱分析方法,建立了光谱色散匀滑技术(SSD:Smoothing by Spectral Dispersion)与衍射光学器件(DOE:Diffractive Optical Element)联用性能的简化分析模型,为SSD与DOE联用时,SSD参量的优化提供了理论依据.数值模拟了SSD各参量,包括脉冲时间、调制频率、位相调制系数、光栅线色散系数等对束匀滑性能的影响.模拟结果表明,SSD参量经过优化选取,且波前畸变随时间快速变化时,能获得良好的束匀滑性能.

基于对光学小波变换必要条件的分析,提出光学小波包变换的概念.选出虹膜图库的联合最优小波包基,利用最优基的线性组合生成相应的复合光学小波包滤波器.将滤波器用于光电混合虹膜识别系统中对待识别输入进行小波包特征提取预处理,模拟结果不仅证明引入该滤波器可明显提升系统的识别效果,也证明了光学小波包变换提出的意义.

Integrated diffractive optical mode converter, consisting of a diffractive optical element (DOE) and a slab waveguide, is used for fiber-to-waveguide coupling. The phase of the DOE is generally designed by optimization algorithm. In this paper, the precise design, a new method with one more restrictive way, is adopted to design the diffractive optical mode converter for fiber-to-waveguide coupling. Through this method, the intensity of any point on the output plane is fully filled with the required demand. Compared with what previously published, the coupling loss of the precise designed converter is lower.

A four-channel 400-GHz spacing flat focal field arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) demultiplexer is designed based on polymeric optical waveguide. The waveguide core-layer material is a newly developed negative tone epoxy Novolak resin (ENR) polymer with ultravoilet (UV) cured resin Norland optical adhesive 61 (NOA61) as the cladding layer. The device is fabricated using electron-beam direct writing, which has less processing steps than the reported polymeric AWGs. The experimental result is presented.

A novel integrated dense wavelength division multiplexing interleaver scheme is presented based on phased-array (PHASAR) wavelength demultiplexer with multimode interference (MMI) couplers. MMI-PHASAR interleaver with simple structure and compact size can realize narrow channel spacing through simple design procedure. And it is convenient for integration with integrated planar waveguide multiplexer/demultiplexers. A 25/50-GHz MMI-PHASAR interleaver is designed and the transmission characteristic is investigated by beam propagation method.

A volume holographic wavelet correlation processor for performing rotation invariant pattern recognition is suggested. It uses wavelet transform to get the digital edge extraction of the original object and a single circular harmonic component is used as the matched filter to get good rotation invariance. The new filter used in this method is called wavelet circular harmonic component filter (WCHCF). Simulation results validate the theory and the experiment to recognize human faces with any rotation angle shows the utility of the newly proposed method.
